[PennMUSH] @channel/recall

So we're using PennMUSH version 1.8.2 patchlevel 3 [03/11/2007]. and I've got the channel buffers on. So RL had popped up this week and I went to do a @chan/recall 100, 100. And that took me back to last Sunday.  @chan/recall 100,500 took me to about Thursday.  Anyone know of a way to see the total number of messages in the buffer to figure out what number you should use as the second Argument?  Or is it just trial and error.to find how high of a number you need to use?

It seems since the chat buffer keeps a time date stamp you someone could set it up where you could do a @chan/recall 100,Sat Mar 17 and have the recall start at that point? Or maybe a @chan/recall lines to tell you how many lines are in the buffer?
