Linux, where the files are kept.  I do everything in vi but vim -b
didn't show anything out of the ordinary.  I pulle a copy to my BSD
account and ran it through and again found nothing on the line ends. 
Pfaugh.  I've done all my editing on the Linuz account using their
version of (might be an emulation of) vi.  Dropped the file into vim
-b on the Darwin shell on the Mac and see consisten \ line endings
throughout.  So nothing's mixed.
