This is a good suggestion, and not one I've personally tried. If it doesn't
work, my recommendation would be to take the Windoes 1.7.6 database, load
it in the 1.7.7p38 Win32 precompiled binary (assuming you don't have custom
hacks that affect the db), then load it in 1.8.0 binary, and finally move
the file to linux. You may be able to skip the 1.8.0 load on Windows, but
I included it just in case.
