While there is a lack of activity on this list recently, plenty of
people still read and respond to it, if someone asks a question, or has
a request or something.
I've experienced this on other support-oriented mailing lists before --
it seems to happen alot when new users stop coming in (in my prior
experiences, this has been due to a better alternate appearing -- in
this case, I believe it's more due to graphical multiplayer RPGs
becoming a bigger timesink for the kind of person who might want to
start thier own MUSH). Since there is a lack of new users to ask new
questions, and the more experienced users tend to shy away from general
chatting (off-topic conversations), so lists die off.
Long story short, if you recently joined the list, please, feel free to
ask questions. They will be answered. Unless, of course, I
over-estimate the number of people still subscribed to this list (which
I might be -- a quick check only lists 7 different people to post in the
last 6 months [I'd be the 8th with this post]).
